Automotive paint masking tape gives excellent performances in combination with masking paper, too. You can fasten automotive masking paper to the car body using masking tape on both the edges of the area you have to paint and the border of the paper.
Metallic paints are effectively the same as solid paints, only with a small quantity of powdered metal added. The size and type of metal added varies depending on manufacturer choices, but it’s commonly about 1 part in 50 of aluminum powder.
The first step to completely painting a car is priming the car. We make sure we use a paint primer exterior as this will be tougher than interior primers. We also apply a primer clear coat if desired. We apply the primer evenly to any area that is to be painted.
