im just curious to why you guys arent putting on a show this year..sorry if its already been asked

We had actually discussed it even before the last show. Everyone had their own reasons I guess. I can only speak for myself. It's been great seeing the show grow and meeting all the people that have decided to help out and support it. Unfortunatly, it came at a cost. Many of us spent 6+ months out of the year working on promoting the show, getting sponsors, organizing things and even fronting our own money to make the show work. Between work, marriage, kids, and all the other things that come up in life, it just not possible for us to do what's needed to host the show this year. Not to say it'll never happen again. Unfortunatly, just not this year.

There are many reasons within the club that we are not. We really pride ourselves on having a club that is about the quality of the members, not quantity. We are a big family basically and all really close friends. The show was starting to become a huge stress point and we need to get back to our roots. It may return in the future, or it may have just been a pretty good run, who knows. All I know is that we are going to work towards an OT that will be fully attending more shows, or at least partially and giving back to the local scene to build it.

sorry about the show ...............I was at and in the 08 & 09 and it was a great time for me. Oaktown i hope that one day it will come back. The motor city needs all the attention it can get.........thanks for the great time Oaktown.

Maybe we could setup a weekly thing with the new one on Van Dyke they are building now. Right next to the Meijer parking lot, would make for a cool cruise night.
